Research Experience
I have been a research assistant with my advisor Professor Seyed M.R. Iravani in the IEMS department at Northwestern University since June 2008. I have also been supported as a research associate in the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan by my coadvisor Professor Izak Duenyas.
I also did a course project on optimization algorithms for lot-sizing problems with Professor Diego Klabjan in the IEMS department at Northwestern University.
Industry Experience
I spent summer 2010 doing an internship at United Airlines Enterprise Optimization research group. We developed and implemented a new sub-network based algorithm to evaluate values of potential itineraries for the Profitability Forecasting Model of the United Airlines' huge flight network.
